Hello,
My name is Tom and I’m the club Coaching Officer. I organise most of the Personal Performance and Coaching Award assessments that go on through the club. I really enjoy all aspects of the club but get increasing pleasure from seeing others develop into skillful paddlers, coaches, leaders and active members of the club.
I am really keen to see the club being in a position to employ sessional coaches to put on activity programmes over the summer months activities for young people and families that give a good grounding in paddle sports that provide the basis for further development.

Hi everyone I’m Stu. I look after the club kit (or I get told off it isn’t looked after). The club has fantastic paddling kit for people to use but if we are all to get the best out of it we need to treat it with respect. I have a fantastic time paddling and what I like best keeps changing recently I’ve had some fantastic sessions coaching Open Canoe. This came as a bit of a surprise because I wasn’t as good at canoeing as I was at other disciplines. |

Hi there,
I'm Chris the new Chairman of the Club, it is always great to see so many people turning up on the wednesday night sessions during the summer and having a good time.
With the onset of autumn and winter it doesn't mean the club goes into hibernation, far from it.
The local rivers provide an exciting alternative to the flat water sessions and with continued coaching and practise, members are encouraged to continue their paddling throughout the year.
After all that's how I managed to improve my skills in kayak's, canoe's & sea Kayaks.
I look forward to meeting members both new & old on some of the up coming club events
best regards Chris Scott

Hello, I’m Lee.
Stu, Richie, Richard and I all started paddling on the same day February 14th 2007. We’ve done most of our paddling together but I’ve since gone to University. I live in Lancaster but get home during holidays and so you’ll see me around the club at those times. Paddling with the club really “whet my appetite” for adventurous activity and now I climb or go hill walking as much as I paddle. I love to paddle and am keen to continue to help others by coaching at the club.

Hello, I’m Ken and I’m the club Secretary. As the Secretary, I communicate with people inside and outside of the club. I’m hoping that the website will make my job easier. I keep threatening to get into a boat but haven’t yet. My background is in youth development work and community activity. I’m delighted that the young people in the club take such leading roles and I work to support them, and others in the club, in achieving what they want. |

| Hi,
my name is Björn. I am quite passionate about sea kayaking. A kayak is a wonderful way to get close to nature. One of my favorite places are of course the Farne Islands. On a good day, having seals swimming around your boat and thousands of birds above, this place can be truly magical.
As I do a bit of hobby web designing, I am also responsible for this site. So, if you have any comments, suggestions (or abuse), send them to:

Hi,
I’m Richard or Richie when the one with the long hair isn’t around. I’m the club Chair and try to see that meetings happen and that all decisions reflect the wishes of the members. I encourage all members to come to the meetings, we keep them friendly and we want to do what the members want. You can talk to me at anytime about anything to do with the club but I’ll usually have to get the information from somebody else. I really enjoy all parts of paddling but my personal highlights have been experiences at the Anglesey Sea Kayak Symposium.

What fettle bonny lads and lasses, I’m Richie with the long hair. I try to represent the views of younger people to the club committee but would encourage everyone to come to meetings. If there is anything that younger members want I’m the person to talk to and I’ll try to get things you raise discussed. I enjoy all paddling but have really good memories of the summer 09 when I was a sea kayak coach/trip leader in Malta. |
